Stainless steel is non-porous, and can be cleaned and/or sterilized by different means. You can wash it for 3 minutes in warm water with a gentle soap. You can also put it in boiling water for 3 minutes. You could put it on the top rack of your dishwasher. About the only thing you can do to damage it is to use an abrasive to clean them, including dishwasher detergent, so please don't.
